Finding My African Tribe

Growing up was interesting, to say the least. As a small child, I listened and observed those around me. Some of the jokes that was thrown at me at six and seven years old was funny to others in my family, but never to me. They would always remind me of how big my forehead was (no one in my current family line shared that same genetic trait) They reminded me so often, that as a teen I began to gain a complex. Even my mother, bless her heart, would say “You look so pretty with bangs.” (meaning hair in front of my forehead) But it’s funny how things emerge and change in your life. I didn’t even notice that I completely dropped that complex, and now for several years, I have been wearing my forehead proudly. Lately my Ancestors have been taking me on a place of discovery. Although for years I have been aware that I am 85% African (I even know the region and areas) but I never dived in deeper, to discover what some of the people looked like. But today my intuition had me curious and what I discovered put a smile on my face. I discovered that the people of the “Mangbetu” tribe have the same type of forehead as me and even my big beautiful brown eyes. So when my family use to make jokes, I should have smiled, because it was a clue from my Ancestors of WHO I AM.

I Prepared A Ancestor Packet For My Daughter

Although, my youngest daughter is only 8 years old, and isn’t concerned about her Ancestors. I am still preparing for the day when she awaken and ask me questions about her family line. I have decided to prepare her a Packet of her own, with the history of her father’s side. Her father did not grow up in a two parents home, like myself. So the discovery of Ancestors would have been difficult. But what I discovered thus far, is more than phenomenal. I have located a picture of her Great, Great, Great Grandmother Leola born 1887. For my daughter to be able to look at the face of her Ancestor, is something more precious than anything she could receive. (Picture of Leola born 1887)

Breaking Generational Curses

You break generational curses, when you do better than those that have come before you. The opportunities you have today, far out weigh the options of your Ancestors. You have the ability to wake up and choose your life, and the people you desire to be in and around it. You also get to, only tolerate things that are deserving of you. Your mission in this life is to go further than those that have previously walked this land. That can include: Relationships(Knowing your worth), Jobs(Being free and doing something that makes you happy) Family/Friends(Setting boundaries from those that take advantage)etc. There are no limits on how far you can go. Just know that your Ancestors will always be proud of any attempts…

Meditation

Try meditation on your own terms. Take the pressure off. Cut on the meditation music without a voice in the background. Some find it better when they are not concentrating on the breath, but more on their thoughts… watching them… but not interacting with them. Get to the point where you are on the verge of sleep, but are still aware of your surroundings. Don’t bother with a timer, because you will be focused on it… wondering when is it going to be over. Go at your own pace and your own time. Think of it like this…your Ancestors are already around you, literally. They SEE, FEEL and KNOW your thoughts and emotions. So when you meditate, your making it easier to communicate on your end…not theirs.

Today Synchronicity

On the days that you forget how powerful you are, and the world seems to back you in a corner. Take a second and look around you, and you’ll see your Ancestors/Spirit Team come together with the Universe, to show you the world is filled with magic… Today when I woke up to get my daughter ready for school, I looked out my bedroom window, and saw heart shaped leaves, directly outside the window (I have lived here for several years and have never seen this type of leaf). Also for a couple of days, a mama Rabbit has built a underground burrow/rabbit hole directly on my lawn in front of my patio. Then the synchronicity started to role. Today while in thought, I glanced up and saw 11:11 AM. Then while walking pass my kitchen I saw 3:33 PM. (I see the numbers so often, I have to keep on my phone to capture a screenshot)…These are some of the meanings, minus my personal understanding:

(Rabbit) The rabbit spirit animal has always been a symbol of prosperity, abundance, and fertility

(333) The meaning of 333 means that your angels are just nearby, ready to help and reassure you that your plans are going well. It sends the message that your prayers have been answered, and seeing 333 means that whatever you requested for is on its way to you.

(1111) Angel number 1111 is a special message from your guardian angels indicating your ability to connect with the Ascended Masters in the angelic realm. It is your connection with the angelic realm, God, or Source Energy that determines your ability to manifest your desires and achieve your full potential.

(Heart) Some link the Heart symbol with an upside-down triangle and associate it with the divine feminine power. The inverted triangle also symbolizes the Water element, which makes the Heart a sign of intuition, psychic perception, emotion, and transition.

Photo With Ancestor Names

I was lead to create this picture as a reminder of the army I have behind me. It’s one thing to know and another to see. Now I can look at their Names every time I need a reminder…(Picture of the Names of some of my known Ancestors that was born in the 1800s. I’m having the picture developed into a 8×10 photo, so I can hang it on my wall)

Life Insurance

Our Ancestors had to scrape and save ever penny that they came across. They didn’t have the opportunities to give their children the life they would have imagined. Some of us today, don’t have that luxury either. But it doesn’t have to be like that for our future generations. We can give them the opportunity to be more than what this world tells them. We can give them a foundation that’s easy to stand on… and even harder to break. For less than $25 a month, I”ll be able to leave my children with more than, mere words that once flowed from my mouth. Investing in a Life Insurance policy was one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life.
